7 Ways to Wear Chanel Pre-Fall 2014's Wild West Trend

Karl Lagerfeld's collections for Chanel regularly dictate the fashion industry's hottest trends, season after season.  For the label's Pre-fall 'Metiers des Arts' 2014 collection, Lagerfeld brought his show to Dallas, Texas for a show that was clearly inspired by the Wild West.  Lagerfeld himself has always had a western slant to his own personal style, so it makes sense that he brought the aesthetic to Chanel this season.  We saw lots of denim, fringing, aztec print knits, prairie skirts and blouses, brown leathers and, of course, cowboy boots on the runways, all done with Chanel's unique sophisticated twistclassics such as the brand's quilted bags, little jackets and over-the-knee boots were given the Wild West treatment with leather fringing, Western motifs and textures.  The collection has proven to be a huge hit, with style icons such as Alexa Chung, Elena Perminova, Kristen Stewart, Emma Roberts and Emma Stone already wearing some of the pieces.  So we're predicting that the Wild West trend is going to be a huge hit this year.  In preparation, Stylecab has lined up a list of 7 ways you can wear Chanel's Wild West trend below.  It's time to bring out the cowgirl in us all!

#1: A knee-length denim skirt paired with a crochet lace top and brown leather accessories has an immediate Rodeo-inspired effect.

#2: Pair a Little Home On The Prarie inspired bib-front blouse with skinny jeans for a Wild West effect and off-set it with sleek accessories such as pointy toe pumps to keep the look modern.

#3: When all else fails, grab lots of denim.  This season, denim upon denim upon denim is Karl Lagerfeld-approved!

#4: A suede jacket paired with just about anything immediately gives it greater Wild West appeal--even the most ladylike Upper East Side style items such as pearls, cigarette pants and round-toe pumps!

#5: Wear your cowboy boots with everything.  Turquoise accessories are also a nice touch.

#6: An aztec knit sweater, denim cut-offs, a wide-brim hat and a fringed leather bag are Wild West wardrobe staples.

#7: Pair a pussy-bow blouse with a prairie skirt for a demure Wild West look fit for a Minnesota housewife with style.  Keep your make-up look bright to give the look a modern edge.
