Isabel Marant x H&M: All the Looks

October 9, 2013

By now, pretty much everyone knows that Swedish fast-fashion retailer H&M is launching a collaboration with the queen of Parisien chic, Isabel Marant, on 14 November.  The announcement caused a huge commotion in the fashion industry, as everyone geared up to own a piece from the beloved french fashion house.  Some felt it was perhaps not the best idea for Isabel to collaborate with H&M; after all, much of her fashion empire is built on expensive cotton basics--would collaborating with H&M to produce similar items at a fraction of the price water down her name?  Well, that doesn't seem to have been a concern to the woman herself, as her collection is practically a series of best-hits from the runways and her stores, which will undoubtedly go for a much, much, much lower price.  Shots of the pieces on offer have been making the rounds on the internet and we've already seen countless posts by people prepping 'Must Have' lists and organizing times to start lining up outside the stores.  With so many incredible pieces on offer, it's really difficult to narrow it down to a handful of pieces, but we've analysed the entire offering and come up with a selection of pieces that are both quintessentially Marant and would probably still fare well with H&M manufacturing.  We've also got a sneaky peak at the official Isabel Marant pour H&M campaign staring supermodel Daria Werbowy and a full look at their official lookbook.  Browse through everything below and get prepared for the launch on 14 November!

As you can see from the look books, the collection for H&M looks like a straight-up re-release of Isabel's greatest runway and commercial hits.  Great news for Isabel fans would perhaps could not have afforded the brand before!

Stylecab's Picks

This LBLD (little black lace dress) is an absolute Isabel Marant must-have.  Wear it with suede ankle booties to really mimic Isabel's style.

The quintessential Isabel Marant boot--the one that started the obsession with Isabel's shoes, so many seasons ago.  Re-released here for H&M.  This is your chance to score a piece of fashion history!

Isabel releases a version of her cropped leather pant pretty much every season, but these with the lace-up sides are absolutely killer!  You'd be surprised to hear, as well, that the leather quality at H&M is much better than you'd expect from a high-fashion retailer.  Definitely a wise purchase, as these leather pants would usually cost upwards of HKD$15,000 at full retail cost.

Another one of Isabel's earliest hits.  This wrap skirt style is flattering for your figure, creating the illusion of endless skinny legs.  Must have.

Isabel is a huge fan of bomber jacket styles.  This one in silver is easy to match with pretty much anything in your wardrobe and can be worn either dressed up or down.  Versatility at its finest.

A pair of printed pants is a must have in every Marant collection.  This look both comfortable and incredibly chic.

The Marant coat!  Oversized and usually done in grey, it is a must-have in every French woman's winter wardrobe.

A tank top in a classic Marant print.  Perfect for pairing with jeans on the weekend or leather pants and stilettos for play!6103_SL_W_36_PR_592x888

The casual printed dress.  Again, with her trademark asymmetrical hemline which creates the illusion of longer, slimmer legs.  Pair  it with your trusty suede ankle boots.

The Isabel Marant jacket that has been copied time and time again by Zara and, ironically, H&M themselves.  Now you can get the original.   Must have!

The perfect off-duty sweater with punch!

One of our favourite pieces of the collection: the oversized tuxedo jacket in a wrapped style.  So versatile, you can wear it with trousers, jeans, shorts or a skirt.  Black, so that it goes with everything.  Top of our list!
